The last two days have been challenging and fun. Day 4 brought marathon #2 in two days (in fact, day 4 ended up being 27+ miles) so today’s 24 miles seemed easy in comparison. The hard part has been that I ended the trails on day 4 and have been on the roads for the last 35 or so miles. The roads are not only more hilly, they are more stressful. Cars passing at 50+ miles an hour, sometimes with no shoulder, is loud and keeps your attention.
But the last few days have been fun because I’ve had people out with me and had some amazing conversations. Thank you Paul, Kate, Donna and Chris for making the trip out here to spend time with me! It’s also been fun to walk through Devil’s Lake and take the Merrimac Ferry. Wisconsin is so much fun!
Donations are currently at 33% and I’m past the halfway point – only 100 miles to go! If you haven’t donated me, I’d ask that you consider doing that by clicking the red “Donate Now” button and giving a lot, or a little, to those in need.
