I have some very fun and exciting news to share!
A well, built…
The fourth of the four wells has been drilled! It is near the city of Olanchito, Honduras. Here’s a shot of the water source before the well went in and the location of the well in the country:
The area is home to about 180 people, who are mostly farmers. Thirty-four year old community member and housewife, Iris Duarte, stated, “Our only water source was the river. We would have to walk long distance for water. Due to the contaminated water, our children suffered many illnesses. We are very thankful for our new water source and the lessons taught to the people about health and hygiene.”
We are making a difference in people’s lives!
To Build A Well…
I’m leaving for Guatemala this Friday for a week-long drill project. I’m very excited to be capturing this experience to share with you, and many others, what it’s like to live without access to clean water AND what can be done to help those who need this basic necessity.
I’m going to be working in the Highlands of Guatemala; about a 3 hour drive into the mountains out of Guatemala City. The closet large city is Quetzaltenango. Here’s an idea of the beauty of this area:

The people who live in the Highlands are of Mayan descent and still practice Mayan customs and speak Mayan dialects. I’m very humbled to get to visit such a beautiful culture.
I will be updating as much as I can find internet. When I return I’ll be giving a full report as well.
I need your help…
We’ve built four wells already. We’ve changed the lives of hundreds of people around the globe. We’ve done that by raising over $22k together!
Why stop there?
We are SOOOOO close to our 5th well. We only need $2156 more to make it happen!
Will you consider donating today and helping get us to well #5? Make it a gift this holiday season to one you might never meet.
Thank you for your support!
